APC-Z120 Rayon Inserter

The APC-Z120 inserts rayon or paper fill material at 20 to 160 bottles a minute. It does the same job as cotton with one difference. Rayon does not absorb moisture. If your bottle also has a desiccant, that difference matters.

  • Output— 20 to 160 bottles per minute
  • Non-absorbent— rayon leaves your desiccant to do its job
  • Double head— two heads share the cycle

Two heads

The machine draws cotton from the coil, cuts it, compresses it into a plug, and pushes it through the neck. Four steps in one index. The compression step is why this station runs slower than the others.

Non-absorbent material

Cotton is a natural fibre. It takes up moisture from the bottle headspace. In a bottle with a desiccant, the two compete for the same water. Your desiccant spends its capacity on the cotton, not on your product. Rayon is synthetic. It does not.

Bottle sensing

No bottle, no insert. At 160 bottles a minute that adds up quickly in material cost.

Ideal Applications & Industries

Moisture-sensitive products with a desiccant

Probiotics, gummies and softgels. Non-absorbent fill material leaves the desiccant working on your product.

High-speed supplement lines

Lines running above 50 bottles a minute, where a cotton station would set the ceiling.

Contract packing

Line speed decides how many client orders fit into a shift.

Tall bottles with a lot of headspace

Where the product sits well below half the bottle height, one short insert does not restrain it.

FAQ

How much does a desiccant inserter cost?

It depends on your desiccant format and your line speed. Send us a sample and your bottles per minute. We don’t publish a list price because configuration changes it.

How long is the lead time?

About 1-3 months from order. We confirm the date in writing with your order.

Do you supply the desiccants?

No. Your desiccant supplier does. We build the machine around the format you already use.

What happens if a bottle misses its desiccant?

If a desiccant is missed, the product inside becomes vulnerable to moisture, which can lead to powder clumping, mold growth, or the degradation of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs). This significantly reduces the product’s shelf life and can result in costly product recalls.

To prevent this, our Desiccant Inserters can be equipped with an advanced Missing Desiccant Detection System. If a bottle passes without a desiccant, the machine instantly triggers an alarm or automatically rejects the faulty bottle from the line, ensuring 100% packaging integrity.

Does it run on US power?

Yes, it can be customizable.

How fast does this station need to be?

Fast enough to keep up with your counter. Nothing more. The counter sets your line speed. Every station after it follows.

Are your machines electrically certified for the US?

Yes. Our machines are certified and use certified electrical components. Because the exact scope depends on the model and electrical configuration you select, our factory confirms it in writing before production.

Rayon or cotton?

Two questions. Is your product moisture-sensitive? Then rayon, because cotton absorbs moisture and eats into your desiccant. Does your line run faster than 50 bottles a minute? Then rayon again, because that is where the cotton station stops.

Can I switch from cotton to rayon on an existing product?

Usually, for supplements. Check your label and your spec first. If either names cotton, changing it is a documentation change, not just a purchasing one.

Can it insert more than one length per bottle?

This matters on tall bottles where one insert does not fill the headspace.

Check the fit before you order.

Two numbers decide this. Your bottle neck needs 17 mm for the plug to pass. Your line speed needs to be 50 bottles a minute or less, or this station becomes your ceiling.

Send us both. If cotton doesn’t fit your line, we’ll tell you and show you what does.
